SharkBite Core
Conditioning Bootcamp is designed to teach you the proper
way to strengthen the core. The core is comprised of many
muscles of the torso which act on the spine to create movement
in all planes of motion. The core muscles also have a close
relationship to the pelvis and shoulder girdle. With these
relationships in mind, you should immediately see how proper
core training and development becomes critical to your overall
exercise program. It should also be apparent how improper
core training can create postural distortions and subsequent
pain caused by imbalance.
The days of doing
sit-ups, side bends, and leg raises as your only method
of core training are gone. The core is very complex, and
as our seated work environment and sedentary lifestyle becomes
a stronger presence, our core can become dysfunctional.
Deep layers of the abdomen need to work correctly in order
to have proper core function – most do not…not
even the abdominal muscles of those who exercise regularly!
This camp is not about kicking your but to oblivion and
leaving you lying there wishing you had someone to help
you up. At SharkBite Core Conditioning Bootcamp you will
learn the proper approach to train the core. Some of the
core training and coaching you'll receive will teach you
how to:
- Properly engage
the deeper muscles of the abdominal wall. When these deep
muscles are weak, a ‘poochy’ lower abdomen
and back pain are common.
- Train the
abdominal region in the specific repetition range for
which they were intended. High repetitions are not always
the proper training method for great abs.
- Integrate
the abdominals with other movements that are functional
in nature.
- Modify abdominal
exercises for any back limitations you may have.
- Build-up
the ‘show muscles’ as well as their deeper
stabilizing counterparts.
Core training and conditioning will emphasize all planes
of motion for a complete abdominal workout.
